Microsoft today has released pricing for future versions of Office software suite Office 2010. According to data provided by Microsoft, the price of the software will range from $99 to $499.
The cheapest version of Office 2010 Professional Academic will be sold just for $99, but it will only be bought by educational institutions.
Business version of Microsoft Office 2010 will range in price from $349 to $499.
According to analysts, selling 99-dollar version of MS Office 2010 will not be very profitable for the company and in other contexts Microsoft, most likely, would refuse it, but today's online market conditions, stiff competition from Google, has forced the software giant to do so. Otherwise, many individual users, perhaps, small businesses will transfer their work force to competing products, such as Google Docs.
If we see the previous Microsoft Office Suite's Pricing Strategy we shall find that the cheapest version of Microsoft office suite cost $149, except that the corporation offered some new computers fully functional version of the package for free.

Now Microsoft is busy testing of preliminary versions of Office 2010, in Redmond it has been reported that the number of downloads of beta versions of Office 2010 exceeded 2 million is expected that the finished version of the package will be the summer of 2010.

Chrome is that kind of a OS that is unique in its genre! Its not like those average ones that force you to call them as 'Desktops'! In fact, Google's OS is entirely browser based. It may sometimes be felt as if you might be surfing offline! The BEST part is that unlike other OS, it loads up within 7(seven) seconds. So, you are thinking of whether its the end of Microsoft Windows? Well... Time will answer that! But with its current configuration, a FAST OS is just what the Doctor prescribed!
Google's motto of making the web as user-friendly as possible, and the company is currently acquiring potential services too! No wonder why Google created an OS that is web-based. Read below how Google describes Chrome OS on their Blog:
First, it’s all about the web. All apps are web apps. The entire experience takes place within the browser and there are no conventional desktop applications. This means users do not have to deal with installing, managing and updating programs.
Second, because all apps live within the browser, there are significant benefits to security. Unlike traditional operating systems, Chrome OS doesn’t trust the applications you run. Each app is contained within a security sandbox making it harder for malware and viruses to infect your computer. Furthermore, Chrome OS barely trusts itself. Every time you restart your computer the operating system verifies the integrity of its code. If your system has been compromised, it is designed to fix itself with a reboot. While no computer can be made completely secure, we’re going to make life much harder (and less profitable) for the bad guys. If you dig security, read the Chrome OS Security Overview or watch the video.
Most of all, we are obsessed with speed. We are taking out every unnecessary process, optimizing many operations and running everything possible in parallel. This means you can go from turning on the computer to surfing the web in a few seconds. Our obsession with speed goes all the way down to the metal. We are specifying reference hardware components to create the fastest experience for Google Chrome OS.
